"So many times, you hear brides and grooms say that they hardly remember their wedding day at all.
They were so wrapped up in the final details, they ended up missing the most important day of their lives." Carla Vermillion,
owner and wedding planner and designer for At Last Bridal, truly believes that your wedding day should be one of the most unforgettable days
of your life!
"If the bride is consumed with last minute details and finishing touches of the big day,
she won't have much time to focus on the one true reason she and her groom are there; to celebrate their love for each other.
That's why every couple needs to have someone there to handle all the details, big and small, so that she and her groom can
just simply live in the moment."
The idea of being a wedding and event planner has been in the back of Carla's mind since she planned
her own wedding. "You always hear about weddings being so stressful, but I loved planning my wedding. I remember thinking,
If I can work full time, take 22 credit hours in my last quarter at Ohio State before graduating, plan my own wedding at the Columbus Art Museum,
all at the same time, and love every minute of it, that is what I should be doing!" Now, 5 years later, she has decided to leap into her dream of
becoming a wedding and event planner. "Life is too short to not enjoy what you do for a living. A person should love what they do.
It's just that simple."
